Catching Up

Catching Up

I am so sorry for the delay in site updates. I have returned to school for the first time in 14 years and I am struggling a bit to adjust to my new routine. I have one course that is quite heavy (10 hours a week of reading!) and three others that are a bit lighter.

On top of my class time and homework I have had to deal with a delayed website project. I was hired to create a website. I gave the client a deadline for the raw material and gave them a deadline to send it in that was before I started school. they were late so working on it cut into my already tightly packed schedule. I have been asked to re-do the gallery (I got sent titles after the first draft so I have to either go add them via Photoshop or play with the code for the script display them - not sure which I will do - I have absolutely no time to work on it until next week).

I also had to deal with the Montreal Burlesque Festival. I agreed last February to organize a group of volunteers. I like to contribute. Burlesque is more than a hobby for me. it is a major source of self-expression and helps keep me sane. It is my community and many of the people in my support network are my burlesque friends. I was looking forward to it. Then I caught a cold. I was such a mess this weekend. The medication to deal with the symptoms left me all fuzzy in the head. I was exhausted. Still, I carried on. On top of that I got two pieces of bad news (one to do with my ridiculous love life - oh, am I ever struggling to get over this bartender of mine & the other was about something horrible that happened to a dear friend).

All to say the last few weeks have been pretty chaotic and I am trying to deal with the challenge to bring some order to it. My cold should be over by early next week (it usually takes me ten days to be symptom free - thank you asthma). I have class to go to and homework to do, but I have set aside some time later in the week to do site updates and I will be back on track very soon.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Re-building your life is not a smooth process. Its a bit of a winding road - one with more than a few pot holes you need to contend with. At least it has an interesting view!

Note: Members of my site also have access to the site updates of all the other sites in the VIP Network. Please enjoy them!
