Job Satisfaction
I have had a smile on my face every day since I started camming. It is a smile of job satisfaction. I am satisfied for myself and for those who enjoy my company on cam. I expect that people will read this as purely about pleasure, but it is about so much more.
Something fellow creator Dex Parker said on Twitter really resonated with me.
As I’ve been navigating the adult entertainment industry this past year I have been feeling more force than flow until now.
My Loss of Life Satisfaction Started When I Lost My Job
After I lost my job in September of 2019 I lost more than a paycheque. I lost my sense of purpose and place. I lost my routine. I lost my flow. It was the most painful thing to occur in my life after my father’s death and the end of my marriage.
I fell into a clinical depression shortly after. Thankfully I was able to ask for help and I got it. I worked my way through my depression with the help of my therapist and started to come out the other side when the pandemic hit.
It is a coincidence that I returned to porn at the same time as the pandemic. It was timed much more so in relation to the experience of losing my job and what I wanted for my next chapter. It was about the passion I have for sex work, content creation, and my independence.
Bringing All of My Strengths Gives Me Job Satisfaction
I have only been live camming for Treasure Cams ( a studio within Streamate) for 2 weeks but I have enjoyed the experience so much so far. I am so happy this opportunity found me and I found it. It suits me so much. I get to bring all of my experience as a veteran amateur porn performer, sex educator, burlesque stripteaseuse, and in-person service provider together.

Job Satisfaction and Flow
So now this aspect of my work is on track and I have a sense of flow once again.
My days lie within my comfort zone— not forced and laboured. It is complimenting my vision for my fan sites1, clip sites2, blog and VIP area. So on top of flow I feel whole. I love this and it is what I have worked so hard in my 40s for.
PS Much still needs to be done to add my mature content to that VIP area. I have about 50 videos to encode and upload and hope to make some headway on that this week. I will share more about that in the days and weeks to come.
