I Love To Role Play
Some people think that I like to role play because I don't feel comfortable with who I am. That is not true. I like to role play because I like to pretend to be in situations that are not possible in real life; do things that excite me, that intrigue me, that turn me on. In my day-to-day life I am an ordinary woman. I have my job, my home, my cat and James. Ordinary life sometimes needs a little spice. So I add to it by pretending to be a naughty nurse with a cute patient she can't resist. Or a flight attendant attracted to her captain. Or shy librarian seduced by a geeky clerk. Or the prom queen doing it on the sly with half of the football team. You get the picture. Now, I don't plan on changing careers just to fulfill a fantasy. And I certainly can't go back in time and relive my adolescence, but I can live out my dreams and try new things on the weekends. Playing pretend is not a new thing for me. When I was little girl, my favorite games always involved pretending. I'd play librarian, school teacher, mayor, ballerina, etc... My imagination was always active. I'd daydream things, both good and bad. Sometimes I'd get scared by the things I thought of (like I was a part of the Scooby-Doo gang being chased by monsters -hey I was 5!), but most of the time it was a great way to pass the time. I'd love to play games where my friends and I would be fighting some terrible force. It could be natural like a big storm or it could be supernatural (A favourite game was the bionic woman -I was the only girl in the neighbourhood, so I'd be the star but the boys would not let me do anything). When I grew up, the nature of my fantasies changed. They became sexual and erotic. In high school, I'd daydream of a popular boy surprising me in the locker room showers. Steam everywhere. I'd hardly see him until he came up beside me and whispered my name in my ear. Then he would turn me around and kiss me. That was a good fantasy. Another was with a rock star, but it is too silly to repeat. I'm giggling right now just thinking about it. There was a problem with these fantasies. They were difficult to act out. First, I needed a suitable partner. Poor me, I wasn't very popular with the guys. Thank goodness that things improved as I got older. Though there still hasn't been a rock star in my life. My true role playing days really began with James. He is terrific. He is open to my ideas and has very creative one's of his own. Sometimes our games are very elaborate. We dress up and use props. Other times it is more psychological. I love to pretend that one of us is a virgin and the other the seducer. Both roles can be exciting. Now, if you are interested in role playing, here are a few tips. 1) Talk to your partner. Share your fantasies. Be ready to hear some odd things. Men and women don't tend to have similar fantasies, so the things they might want to act out will be different as well. 2) Set your limits. Respect those of your partner. If she doesn't want to dress up in a Wonder Woman outfit, don't push her. See if you can find a compromise. When everyone is comfortable with their roles and the scenario, then things are likely to go smoothly. 3) However, be prepared for things to go wrong, especially in the beginning. Not every one is a good actor. Plus, you might get the giggles. Role playing has its silly side. You either have to ignore it or embrace it. 4) Relax and have fun.
