Mini Vacation

I am going away to the Laurentians for a few days. My oldest friends have a chalet on a small lake. We used to go there together as kids and I have tried to make a visit most summers now as an adult. it is often the only time I get to see my dear friends now that they live in other cities. I am so looking forward to being away from the city and the computer/cellphone etc... I love the near instant communication and connection that you have because of current technology (I am a mad texter), but it is nice to take a break from it all. No demanding beeps to deal with. I am going to miss the cats as I always do when i am away. My bed as well. I will probably be sleeping on foam cushions. Thankfully, I won't have to worry about them as I have friends staying at my place so everyone and everything will be safe and sound. peace of mind - such a precious thing. I have a couple of hours left before I leave to catch my bus. Must finish up the laundry, create an away response for email and write down instructions for the sitter. I hope I am not forgetting anything.
