Seska On Stage
Most of my experience on stage has been as a burlesque performer. I have also hosted cabaret shows and worked many times as a public speaker and workshop facilitator. With time and experience I’ve grown to be quite comfortable on stage.

Last night I dreamed I was doing stand-up. This is something I have never done but have been intrigued by that work. In my dream I don’t remember any actual jokes but I remember working on them. Some were nonsensical because it was a dream. I thought there was something funny I could say about the colour lavender, for example. The other more possible joke I brainstormed was about my experience of sleeping with comedians. It didn’t go further in the dream than the idea but I think there might be something there.
Right now is not a good time to explore getting on stage for a stand-up experience, but I think I would like to some day. I could see myself doing it for fundraiser for a sex worker rights organization. There is something so wonderful about being with other sex workers and laughing. We often have very dark experiences and we face so much stigma and hate that we need opportunities for camaraderie, joy and love.
Here are some photos from an early burlesque performance of mine. This is me performing my signature Breakfast at Tiffanys number at a Fetish Night in the mid-2000s.
